Hernán Haddad
Hernán Haddad ( Hernán Haddad Abdallah; born October 5, 1928 , † May 2012 ) was a Chilean discus thrower .
At the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires in 1951 , he was fourth. In 1952 he won bronze at the South American Championships in Buenos Aires and was eliminated at the Olympic Games in Helsinki from qualifying. In 1954 he won bronze at the South American Championships in São Paulo , and in 1955 he won bronze at the Pan American Games in Mexico City . The following year he won silver at the 1956 South American Championships in Santiago and came in 16th place at the Olympic Games in Melbourne . In 1958 in Montevideo he was South American champion, and in 1959 he was fifth at the Pan American Games in Chicago . In 1974 in Santiago he became South American champion for the second time.
He set his personal best of 50.07 m in 1959.
