Benno Hafeneger

Benno Hafeneger (* 1948 ) is a German educational scientist . He is a professor at the University of Marburg .

Life

Hafeneger studied educational science and psychology at the University of Frankfurt am Main . He then worked as a youth education officer at the Hessian Youth Ring and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD and was a professor at the FH Fulda . Since 1994 he has been a professor for educational sciences / extracurricular youth education at the University of Marburg .

He is a member of the German Society for Educational Science and the Society for Political Didactics, Youth and Adult Education as well as on the advisory board of 100 Years of Youth Hostel Association . He also belongs to the editorial staff of italics. Journal for Political Education . His main research interests are youth education , youth cultures and right-wing extremism .

Hafeneger is the author and publisher of numerous publications a. a. for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation . On behalf of the State Medical Association of Hesse, he is currently investigating the role that Hessian doctors played during the National Socialist era.

Hafeneger also positions itself in the daily media, for example in the left-wing newspaper Junge Welt .
