Pernille Fischer Christensen (born December 24, 1969 ) is a Danish director .

life and work

Fischer Christensen attended Danske Filmskole until 1999 . A year later, her graduation film, India , won the Cinéfondation's Young Talent Award at the Cannes Festival . In 2003 she received the Robert for the short film Habibti min elskede .

In 2006, her first full-length film, En Soap, was released. With him she took part in the competition at the Berlin Film Festival 2006 and won the Silver Bear . The film received other awards at the San Sebastián Film Festival and was awarded the Bodil for best Danish film in 2007 . In 2008, Fischer Christensen opened the fiftieth edition of the Nordic Film Festival Lübeck with the feature film Der Tanz , in which she again entrusted Trine Dyrholm with the female lead . At the Berlinale 2010 , Pernille Fischer Christensen will present her latest film A Family in Competition.

The filmmaker is the older sister of actress Stine Fischer Christensen , who she used in several of her short films.
