Sanaa McCoy Lathan (born September 19, 1971 in New York City , New York ) is an American actress .
Life
Lathan discovered her talent for acting while studying at the University of California, Berkeley . She worked on some Shakespeare plays, for example in Romeo & Juliet , and finally appeared as a supporting actress in films such as Blade (1998) with Wesley Snipes or the thriller Out of Time - His opponent is time (2003) alongside Denzel Washington up. She currently plays in the New London Theater Tennessee Williams play Cat on a hot tin roof the role of Maggie .
In 2017 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
