Mary-Louise Parker
Mary-Louise Parker (born August 2, 1964 in Fort Jackson , South Carolina ) is an American actress and Golden Globe Award winner.
Acting career
Mary-Louise Parker made her acting debut in 1975 on the television series Ryan's Hope . In 2003 she received both an Emmy and a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the pill-addicted Harper Pitt in the television miniseries Angels in America . Two years later, she was able to win another Golden Globe for best actress in a comedy for her portrayal of Nancy Botwin in the television series Weeds . She also regularly performs on Broadway in New York City and received a Tony Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her performance in the play Proof .
Personal
From 1996 to 2003 Parker was in a relationship with actor Billy Crudup . William Atticus was born on January 7, 2004, after Crudup had left her two months earlier. In December 2006, she began a relationship with actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan , whom she met on the set of Weeds . The relationship lasted until April 2008.
In September 2007 Parker adopted a girl from Ethiopia who goes by the name Caroline "Ash" Aberash.
