action

Sandra Dunmore is married to Jake, who has a drinking problem. Jake's older brother, Ben, is Sandra's lover. Jake finds out about the affair.

Sandra and Jake apparently planned Ben's murder together for a long time. His life insurance is $ 4 million. Police officers Rita Pompano and Detective Crowley, a Mormon , are investigating.

At first, as the brother, Jake appears to be the one to whom the life insurance would be paid out. In an interview with the investigators, Peggy Blane, a colleague of Ben and Jake, says that she has been married to Ben for a few days and that they did not want to make this known until a few days later. Sandra now hires a killer to murder Peggy.

Peggy and Jake are having an affair. Jake tells the killer to kill Sandra, not Peggy. Sandra follows Peggy and Jake, who ride their motorcycle to a cabin in the mountains. She buys a used car at a gas station and pays with cash, which she withdraws from the machine shortly beforehand. With the car she pushes Peggy and Jake off the street, they die in the process.

Pompano blackmailed Dunmore, who is said to have received a total of eight million dollars from the life insurance of the Dunmore brothers. She tells Dunmore that she found the receipt for the cash withdrawal. Dunmore agrees to give half of the money to Pompano. The hired killer breaks into Dunmore's apartment, Pompano shoots him.

At the end you can see friends Pompano and Dunmore doing some shopping together. They meet Crowley, wondering why Pompano is getting retired so well. He later tells the camera that it is nice when good things happen to good people.
