Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2016 (January)

TJ Miller, presenter of the awards

The 21st US Critics' Choice Movie Awards , presented annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), took place on January 17, 2016 in the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Municipal Airport in Santa Monica , California . The nominations were announced on December 14, 2015. The ceremony was hosted by comedian and actor TJ Miller and broadcast live on US cable networks A&E and Lifetime .

The previously independent award of the film award (from 1996) was merged with that of the television award (from 2011) into a single award ceremony. All categories were continued.
