Rebecca Louisa Ferguson Sundström (born October 19, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Rebecca Louisa Ferguson grew up in Stockholm with her three siblings. She attended the Adolf Fredrik Music School.

Ferguson became known in her home country for her role in the Swedish soap opera Nya tider . After further film and television appearances, she was seen in the series Kommissar Wallander next to Kenneth Branagh .

She got the lead role of Queen Elizabeth in the British television series The White Queen in 2013 . For her acting performance, she received a Golden Globe nomination in the category of best leading actress - mini series or TV film at the 71st Golden Globe Awards . In 2013 she starred in the film adaptation of Hercules with Dwayne Johnson in front of the camera and played the role of Ergenia.

In 2015 she appeared in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation . She also played a leading role in the sequel Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018).

In 2017, Ferguson played the role of Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind in the musical Greatest Showman , with Loren Allred taking over her vocal role .

That same year, Rebecca Ferguson was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars annually.
