Men in Black: International is a science fiction action comedy directed by F. Gary Gray , which was released in German cinemas on June 13, 2019 and in US cinemas the following day.

action

In 2016, agents High T and H at the Eiffel Tower in Paris prevented an invasion of Earth by an alien species known as "The Swarm".

In the following scene, which takes place 20 years earlier in New York, the young Molly Wright experiences how her parents are neuralized by the Men in Black after meeting an alien . She helps the little alien, who is hiding in her room when the Men in Black appears , to escape.

Molly then devotes her life to tracking down the Men in Black and applies to the FBI and CIA , among others , but is not taken seriously there with regard to suspected secret departments for the treatment of alien activities on Earth. During her job as a service agent in the call center of a telecommunications provider, the surveillance of space that she carried out came into effect. She discovers a crashed spaceship in the middle of New York and several Men in Black who are investigating the incident. Molly pursues the Men in Black and eventually finds their base. She tries to sneak in, but triggers an intruder alarm. In the subsequent interrogation by Agent O, the head of the US branch of the Men in Black , Molly is able to convince them to recruit them. After successful training, Molly is hired as Agent M on a probationary basis and sent to the London branch for her first assignment. There M meets the manager of the High T branch and agent H.

Filming in London, September 2018

In the meantime, two previously unknown aliens appear in Marrakech who, after killing several people, try unsuccessfully to recruit alien assassins in order to have Vungus the Ugly murdered. These reject the order due to intergalactic agreements. At the same time, Agent H in London is assigned to guard Vungus while he is on Earth. Agent M can convince H to take her with him. In a club, the three of them are tracked down by the alien twins and Vungus is poisoned. Since H, due to the effects of the poison on Vungus, incorrectly assumes that Vungus has simply consumed too much alcohol, H and M remove him from the club so that he can sober up in his accommodation. However, shortly after the departure, an attack was carried out on Vungus' vehicle, after which H and M face the alien twins in a fight. Vungus dies during the fight, but is able to give M a crystal before he dies.

In the briefing that follows, Agent H and C meet, who obviously can't stand each other. Before the situation can escalate, High T calls both of them to reason. High T presents the research results so far, in which the alien twins represent themselves as part of the "swarm" supposedly destroyed in Paris. M expresses the assumption that there must be a mole among the Men in Black , since apart from the agents High T, C, H and M present, only a handful of other high-ranking agents knew of Vungus' presence on earth. High T instructs C and M to conduct further investigations. Agent H, following a gut feeling, convinces M to conduct investigations on site in Marrakech.

There the two discover Pawny, the only survivor of the attempted recruitment by the twins, who swears allegiance to M as his new queen and accompanies them from then on. Meanwhile, while evaluating the video surveillance of the attack on Vungus, H and M discovers that Vungus M has passed the crystal. He then sends a task force to Marrakech to have H and M arrested. They can escape into the desert on an alien motorcycle, which is damaged in the crash. In the desert, the crystal turns out to be a futuristic cannon with enough firepower to destroy entire planets. The weapon is stolen from H and M by an alien while they are trying to repair the motorcycle.

H, M and Pawny then go to Naples , where the intergalactic arms dealer Riza operates from her fortress. H tries unsuccessfully to ingratiate himself with her as Riza's ex-boyfriend and is thrown out by her. However, H manages to overpower some of her henchmen and deactivate the fortress defenses so M can penetrate. In the subsequent fight between Riza and M as well as Riza's bodyguard and H, M succeeds in getting the gun back into her hands, but the bodyguard threatens to kill H if she does not hand over the weapon. The bodyguard turns out to be the alien Molly helped escape in her childhood. The bodyguard turns against his boss and in turn helps the agent to escape. Before they can leave the fortress island, the twins track them down again and push them into a corner. Just in time, a task force around High T can track down the two and take out the twins.

Back in London, High T has the weapon secured in order to return it to Vungus' people and thus smooth the diplomatic waves. At the celebration in the London office, however, it seems strange to M and H, based on statements made by the twins before their death, that it should have been that already. They check whether the weapon is still in the evidence room; however, this has been stolen. The suspicion of the two falls on High T, who escapes to Paris to hand over the weapon to the "swarm". In reality, High T and H couldn't beat the crush a few years earlier; instead, High T made a pact with the "swarm" and neuralized H in the belief that he would win over the swarm.

H and M can place High T on the top of the Eiffel Tower and destroy him and the swarm with the help of the weapon. Agent H is promoted to the new head of the London probationary office, while M is promoted to regular agent and sent back to New York. The film ends with a joyride between the two of them in the Men-in-Black car.
