Special

In an interview on his show, he called Larry Pratt , chairman of the Gun Owners of America association, "unimaginable" in connection with the discussion in the United States about gun laws following the rampage at Sandy Hook Elementary School a few days earlier on December 19, 2012 stupid man ”. Proponents of the right to own guns in the United States petitioned the White House on December 21, 2012 , in response to Morgan's personal commitment to tighten gun law, calling for Morgan's deportation. On his Twitter channel, Morgan then wondered whether his expressions on the second amendment to the United States Constitution (right to own and carry weapons) were not protected by the first amendment (freedom of expression, freedom of the press).

In 2013 he made a small guest appearance on the sitcom 2 Broke Girls . In early 2014, CNN announced that it would cancel Piers Morgan Live in March due to ailing ratings. On March 29, 2014, the last broadcast was Piers Morgan Live . Morgan then announced that he would not appear on television as often and that he would focus on interviews. In the spring of 2015 he went to the British broadcaster ITV , where he acted as moderator for Good Morning Britain at the beginning of April , before becoming a permanent co-host in November 2015. He also hosted the crime documentary series Killer Women with Piers Morgan in two seasons .

Piers Morgan has been friends with Donald Trump for many years . As early as December 2015, he took the view that his friend was likely to win the 2016 US presidential election. He only gave the Democrats a chance if they said goodbye to Hillary Clinton as a candidate. However, he clearly distanced himself from the statements made by his friend to deny Muslims entry to the USA in 2015.

Morgan stands out because of his Cockney accent.
