William "Bill" Rancic (* 16th May 1971 in Chicago , Illinois , USA ) is an American entrepreneur and the first winner of the TV show The Apprentice to German The trainees .

Life

Bill Rancic grew up in the Chicago suburb of Orland Park and is of Croatian-Irish descent. He attended Bradley University in Peoria , Illinois and initially studied law . He later founded his own company, Cigars around the world, and successfully entered the cigar trade .

The apprentice

In the summer of 2004 Rancic reached the finale of the first season of The Apprentice and was ultimately able to prevail against Kwame Jackson. This made him the first candidate to successfully pass an interview live on TV and get a one-year contract with the Trump organization . Rancic could choose between two projects that he should now lead. He chose the construction management of the Trump Tower in Chicago .

Rancic also appeared as a juror in four seasons of The Apprentice and wrote three non-fiction books.
