Christian Wagner (film editor)

Christian Adam Wagner , also Chris Wagner (* before 1985) is an American film editor .

Life

Wagner came into contact with the film industry as a child, as his father Raymond Wagner was Vice President of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in the 1970s and later worked as an independent producer. Christian Wagner began his career as an assistant editor in the mid- 1980s . In 1988 he worked for Hero for the first time as an independent editor. Since then he has worked on more than two dozen film productions, the vast majority of which are action films .

With his work on James Bond 007 - Die Another Day , Wagner became the first American film editor of a James Bond film. Since the mid-1990s, he has worked with director Tony Scott on several productions . As of 2009, he was involved in five parts of The Fast & Furious film series.

For the section of Mission: Impossible II , he and his colleague were Steven Kemper for the Golden Satellite Award nomination. For Fast Five 2012 was followed by a nomination for the Saturn Award .

In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.

Wagner was married to Nicole Muirbrook from 2006 to 2008.
