Spencer Lee Wilding (born July 26, 1972 in St. Asaph , Denbighshire ) is a Welsh actor and stuntman .

life and career

1.99 m tall Spencer Wilding grew up with a sister and brother in the town of Rhyl . For a long time he cherished the dream of working as an actor, but initially decided on a career as a kickboxer. He was once British champion in this sport. It wasn't until his late twenties that he took part in a casting for the first time, without success at the time. Due to dyslexia , he did not learn to read fluently until he was 32 years old. Because of this, he decided to focus on a different role profile. One of his first works on the film was the impersonation of a werewolf in the 2004 film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban . In 2005 he played his first role in the film The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy . Due to his stature, in addition to stunt work, he mainly takes on the embodiment of warlike and imposing roles. He has appeared in films such as Batman Begins , The Golden Compass , Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 , Wrath of the Titans , Guardians of the Galaxy and Jupiter Ascending . In 2016 he took on the role of Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story .

He also played in series such as Game of Thrones , Doctor Who and Atlantis . As a stunt performer, he was hired for films such as Clash of the Titans and Green Lantern .
