action
Dennis Nash is a single father from Orlando , Florida. After he loses his job as a construction worker, he, his mother Lynn and his son Connor, with whom he lives together, are forced to leave their apartment. The property manager Rick Carver is responsible for the proper execution of the eviction. Carver offers Dennis a job as a craftsman, which Dennis accepts. Dennis shows himself to be a good worker and is quickly promoted by Carver to his assistant. Now he has to carry out evictions himself and quickly realizes that there is a lot of money to be made in this area. Carver shows him how to use existing laws to force homeowners to vacate their homes.
Dennis earns a lot of money from it and plans to buy his house back. However, since there are some legal complications associated with this, he decides to buy a much larger and more luxurious house instead. However, when his mother and son learn that Dennis could only afford the house because he pulls the last cent out of his pockets for financially needy people, like Dennis once was, they are shocked and decide to go to Lynns instead Brother to live.
Carver is now on the verge of a million dollar deal, which threatens to fail due to a court case by a homeowner. In order to win the case, Carver brings Dennis to bring a forged document to court, which ultimately decides the case for Carver. During the subsequent evacuation of the house, however, the man refuses to leave the building and the situation becomes tense. Shortly before there is an exchange of fire between the police and the man, Dennis admits that he delivered a forged document. Dennis is then taken away by the police, but not without seeing a smile from the homeowner's son.
