Paco Delgado

Francisco "Paco" Delgado López (born before 1988 in Lanzarote , Canary Islands ) is a Spanish costume designer who was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA award in 2013 and 2016 and a double Goya awardee (2013-2014).

Life

From 1988 to 1991 Delgado studied at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona . Paco Delgado got his first engagement in a film in the Spanish comedy Alone Among Neighbors - La comunidad in 2000. This was followed by further work in Spanish films. In 2012 he designed the costumes for the British film Les Misérables . For this work he received a nomination at the Academy Awards 2013 in the category Best Costume Design , as well as a nomination at the British Academy Film Awards 2013 in the same category. He received further nominations at the Oscars and BAFTA Awards for his work in the film The Danish Girl in 2016 . Delgado was also a member of the jury for the European Film Prize 2016 .
