Celia Bobak is a production designer .

Life

Bobak began her career in the film staff in 1981 as a buyer, where she initially oversaw British television productions. In the 1990s she worked several times for Kenneth Branagh for his William Shakespeare films, including Much Ado About Nothing and Hamlet . From the end of the 1990s she began working as a set designer, where she worked on, among others, The Phantom of the Opera . For this she received her first Oscar nomination in the category Best Production Design in 2005 . For Ridley Scott's Der Martianer - Rettet Mark Watney , she and Arthur Max were nominated again for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 2016 .
