action

Shaun is tired of everyday life on the Mossy Bottom farm and wishes for a day off. After the duck lured the shepherd dog Bitzer away from the farm with a bone, the sheep put the farmer into a deep sleep by constantly making him count sheep. They put him in a trailer, but by unfortunate circumstances it comes loose and rolls into town. When he comes to an abrupt stop there, the farmer loses his memory from a blow to the head .

The sheep quickly recognize on the farm that they need the farmer's care and follow him by bus into the city. When they arrive they meet the animal catcher Trumper, whom they can barely escape in disguise. When Shaun's cover is blown in a restaurant, he is caught and taken to the shelter . There he meets Bitzer, who had followed the farmer to the hospital.

The farmer, who still cannot remember his identity, sees a razor in a hairdressing salon after leaving the hospital and associates it with everyday farm life. In a rage, to the horror of the hairdressers, he gives a celebrity a sheep's hairstyle. However, the celebrity is enthusiastic and the hairstyle quickly becomes an absolute trend .

Shaun manages to use a ruse to free himself, Bitzer, and the street dog Slip from the shelter. The animals can find the farmer by means of a poster, but he does not recognize them. Stranded in the big city, they seek refuge under a road bridge. By chance they learn of the farmer's amnesia , and Shaun suspects that the farmer on the farm would regain his memory. He develops a plan and the animals work together to build a mechanical horse. Using the tried and tested method, they put the employees of the barber shop into a deep sleep and ride with the farmer to the caravan. As a bus trailer they drive towards the farm, but Trumper manages to follow them.

In the showdown , Trumper tries to push the entire flock of sheep into the quarry . At the last second, however, the farmer remembers his previous life and together they manage to defeat Trumper.

The next day begins as always, but then the farmer thinks about it and gives the sheep some free time.

characters

  • Shaun: Shaun is a lovable and rascal sheep who keeps getting the herd into trouble because of his fondness for practical jokes. He's smart, curious and always on the lookout for new adventures, of which there are plenty in his first film! Whatever happens, Shaun finds a solution to get himself and his friends out of the mess. He is a brave and loyal friend. While he may not always be the most considerate sheep in the herd, he loves his family very much at Mossy Bottom Farm. With his indomitable energy and sunny disposition, Shaun is the real hero of this film.
  • Slip: Slip is not one of the prettiest, but one of the most lovable bitches of all. With her protruding teeth and her gentle disposition, she makes new friends with ease. Shaun is also quickly enchanted by her charm. Slip is an orphan and used to taking care of himself. Still, she sometimes feels lonely on the city streets. Her big dream is to find an owner who loves her and takes care of her. However, this is not an easy endeavor when you are being chased by one of the animal trappers like Trumper.
  • The twins: trouble is inevitable with this woolly team. It is impossible to tell the twins apart and they are always up for an adventure. When Shaun lets you know his plan, don't hesitate to help him implement it. For the two of them, there is nothing better than outdoing each other, exuberant, loud and full of energy. In times of crisis, however, the twins always stick together and do their best to find the farmer.
  • Timmy: The smallest member of the herd always has a smile and follows his hero Shaun like a shadow. Wherever Shaun is, there is Timmy - even if that means he has to get his hooves dirty every now and then. He is never seen without his orange teddy bear. He may be small, but he is bright and comes in handy when the herd finds itself in the big city. He would never miss this fun in his life, even if this adventure is bigger than he could have ever dreamed of.
  • Timmy's mother: Even when she's busy taking care of her lively offspring, Timmy's mother always tries to show herself at her best with her curlers in her hair. As a mother figure, she keeps a close eye on the Mossy Bottom Farm herd. Still, she doesn't always manage to keep all trouble away from them. When Shaun and Co. set out to find the farmer in the big city, their maternal instinct leads them to follow the herd and protect them from the dangers of this unfamiliar world.
  • The Farmer: The poor farmer falsely believes that he has everything under control on the Mossy Bottom Farm. As he strolls across the fields with his faithful dog Bitzer, he does not notice anything of the mischief that is happening directly from his nose. Although he is known for his occasional grumbling and the crazy pranks the sheep wreak havoc, the farmer and the animals get along well. He is a simple and down-to-earth person who likes nothing more than to sit in front of the TV with a cup of tea after a hard day at work. But when the herd begins to carry out their most daring plan yet, the farmer's life is literally turned upside down.
  • Shirley: Three times bigger than any other member of the herd, Shirley easily eats any sheep under the table. But that's not her only talent. She is very adept at hiding her strange disposition under her thick sheepskin. Without hesitation, she follows Shaun into a big city adventure, where she discovers loads of exciting delicacies - a pleasant change from daily grazing! But Shirley quickly realizes that there's not much time to eat when a vicious animal catcher is on their heels.
  • Nuts: Its name says it all. Nuts is the charmingly eccentric sheep of the herd, who with his stubborn view of the world can cause confusion among the rest of the herd. A typical daydreamer who lives in his very own world, he is the most bizarre member of the Mossy Bottom clan. Nobody knows what is going on in their head. But nuts come in handy when the entire herd finds itself in the middle of the big city.
  • Hazel: Hazel's nerves are not the strongest. She is a shy little sheep who gets frightened at every little thing and starts to bleat nervously. When the farmer's trailer rolls down into town, she can barely contain her fear. But when she and the rest of the herd set out to chase the trailer, she shows more courage than she would have thought possible. Even if life in the city seems frightening, she manages to face the danger.
  • Bitzer: As a conscientious and conscientious herding dog, Bitzer usually does a good job of keeping Shaun in check. But not even he succeeds in stopping Shaun's crazy plan to escape the daily routine of the farm for a day. Torn between his job as the farmer's loyal companion and his brotherly relationship with Shaun, he always tries to do what is best for everyone. But Shaun's latest pranks are a serious ordeal for Bitzer's patience.
  • Trumper: The animal catcher Trumper hates animals. He is a power-hungry villain who ruthlessly rules the city's animal shelters. With its high-tech equipment and its eagle eye, it does not miss a single detail. When a group of farm animals turns up in his territory, the hunting fever boils over in him. Nothing can stop him from getting his hands on these unexpected trophies, after all, his success rate is 100%! But will his arrogance and vanity be his undoing this time?
