Eve Stewart
Eve Stewart (* 1961 in London , England ) is a British set designer who received three Academy Award nominations for Best Production Design .
Life
Stewart was born in London in 1961. She first worked as a production designer for the short film The Pan Loaf in 1995 . Four years later, Stewart was the production designer for the film Topsy-Turvy - Upside Down (1999), which is about the composer duo Gilbert and Sullivan , and was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Production Design in 2000. Eve Stewart was then hired as a production designer for other British films. She took part in the films Grasgeflüster , Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang , The Hole and Nicholas Nickleby, among others . For her work on the US- British biopic De-Lovely - The Cole Porter Story , she received a nomination at the Golden Satellite Awards . After that, she was responsible for three episodes of the mini-series Elizabeth I in 2005 , for which she received an Emmy . Stewart then worked mainly for British film productions until 2010. In 2010 she was hired for the biopic about King George IV in The King's Speech , which was awarded four Oscars, and created the scenes there. For this she received her second nomination at the Oscars. At the Academy Awards in 2013, she received her third nomination for Best Production Design with Anna Lynch-Robinson for the film Les Misérables with Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway , who also received a nomination for their acting performances.
