The Little League World Series 2011 was the 65th edition of the Little League Baseball World Series , an international baseball tournament for boys between 11 and 12 years of age. Like every year, the game was played in South Williamsport , Pennsylvania .

Attendees

Compared to 2010, there were no longer four, but only two groups with eight teams each. The two groups each play a double elimination round, the winners of the groups play against each other for the world championship title at the end.

Trivia

  • At the game Great Lakes against the Central Atlantic, the LLWS set the attendance record of 41,848.
  • The qualifying tournament for the Middle East - Africa region was actually won by the team from Uganda. For reasons not mentioned, the US State Department did not issue a visa for the team from Uganda. In order to have a participant from this region in the World Series, the team from Saudi Arabia was invited.
