The Little League World Series 2001 was the 55th edition of the Little League Baseball World Series , an international baseball tournament for boys between 11 and 12 years of age. Like every year, the game was played in South Williamsport , Pennsylvania .
Compared to the previous year, the field of participants was increased, the game for third place was reintroduced and the new Little League Volunteer Stadium opened.
The team from New York was disqualified because the player Danny Almonte was two years over the maximum age. All games of the LLWS and the qualification were retrospectively rated forfait for the opponent.

A total of 16 teams (eight international and eight US) were able to qualify for the tournament. For this purpose, the regions were divided as follows:
