The Little League World Series in 1974 was the 28th edition of the Little League Baseball World Series , an international baseball tournament for boys between 11 and 12 years of age. The game was played in South Williamsport .

After the tournament, all teams were invited to Washington, DC . The first guests were those of the newly appointed President Gerald Ford . The fourth win in a row for the team from Taiwan raised voices that suspected that too old players were used. But it could never be completely clarified. For this reason, it was decided not to allow international teams to be allowed in the following year . As a result of massive protests, teams from outside the USA were again admitted from 1976 onwards .

1974 was also the last year in which international and American teams could meet in the first round. From 1976 this was only possible in the final.

The north region has now been renamed Central region.
