The Little League World Series in 1948 was the second edition of the Little League Baseball World Series , a baseball tournament for boys between the ages of 11 and 12.
The game was played at Bowman Field in Williamsport . This lies on the banks of the West Branch Susquehanna River, the dam of which served as a natural grandstand. Even though a new stadium has now been built, it is still possible to play on the original field.
