The Mid-Atlantic Region is one of the eight regions of the United States that send participants to the Little League Baseball World Series , the largest youth baseball tournament. The Central Atlantic region has been taking part in this tournament since 1957, at that time under the name Region East . When the field was doubled in 2001, the East region was divided into the Central Atlantic and New England regions.

The District of Columbia and the following five states are organized in this region :
The other two states ( Virginia and West Virginia ), which geographically also belong to the Central Atlantic States , are incorporated into the Little League Region Southeast .
