Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera
The Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera is a sports hall in Mexico City . It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Alberca Olímpica Francisco Márquez swimming pool . The overhanging roof structure, which is secured with steel cables, corresponds to the roof of the swimming pool. There is space for 5242 spectators in the hall. During the 1968 Summer Olympics , the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera was the main venue for the Olympic volleyball tournaments.
