Fernando Montes de Oca fencing hall
The Fernando Montes de Oca fencing hall ( Spanish Sala de Armas Fernando Montes de Oca ) is a sports hall in Mexico City . It is part of the Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixhuca sports complex . The foundation stone was laid on November 13, 1967, construction work lasted until September 1968. The roof of the hall is arched and made of steel fiber concrete . The fencing competitions and the fencing of the modern pentathlon of the 1968 Summer Olympics were held in the hall. It was fought on 15 fencing lanes. There is space for 3000 spectators in the hall.
