Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixhuca
Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixhuca is a sports complex in Iztacalco , Mexico City that has been in existence since 1958 . There are several sports arenas on the 92- hectare site, which were among other things the venue for the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico . The basketball tournament was held in the Palacio de los Deportes , the fencing tournament in the Fernando Montes de Oca fencing hall , the hockey tournament in the Estadio Municipal (today Estadio Jesús Martínez “Palillo” ) and five of the seven cycling tournaments in the Velódromo Olímpico Agustín Melgar . Other important sports facilities on the site are the Foro Sol baseball stadiums (opened in 2000) and Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú (opened in 2019) as well as the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez race track .
