2006 Primetime Emmy Awards
The presentation of the Emmy Awards 2006 in the category of prime time took place on 19 and 27. August 2006 in the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles instead. The prizes were awarded for the 58th time.
procedure
On August 19th, the Creative Arts Emmys were awarded in 63 categories (such as costumes, makeup or visual effects). The event was hosted in the USA by the television station E! transfer.
The main event (Primetime Telecast) took place on August 27th. Emmys were awarded in 27 categories. The presenter was Conan O'Brien for the second time , the event was produced by Ken Ehrlich and Jeff Ross. As scheduled beamed NBC Emmy Awards of 2006, in Germany, she was back on ProSieben to see.
The Emmys for the Daytime division took place on April 28th.
Awards
The nominations were announced on July 6th by Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Garrett . Most of the nominations received the productions Into the West (16), Elizabeth I (15), Mrs. Harris - Murder in the best circles , 24 (twelve each) and Grey's Anatomy (eleven). The stations with the most nominations were HBO (95), ABC (63), CBS , NBC (47 each), FOX (41) and PBS (34).
Dick Clark was honored for his life's work at the Emmy Awards; Simon Cowell gave his laudatory speech . The late television producer Aaron Spelling was also remembered.
