1952 Primetime Emmy Awards

The 4th Emmy Awards took place on February 18, 1952 at the Cocoanut Grove Nightclub of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles , California , USA . It was moderated by Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz .

After only productions that were based in the Los Angeles area were considered in the first three events, the nominations were extended to the entire United States for the first time in 1952.
