Primetime Emmy Awards 2013
The 65th Emmy -Verleihung in the category of prime time ( 65th Primetime Emmy Awards ) took place on September 22, 2013, Nokia Theater in Los Angeles instead. In the United States , the award ceremony was broadcast by the broadcaster CBS ; in German-speaking countries, the award ceremony was broadcast live by the pay-TV broadcaster TNT Serie from 2 a.m. onwards. For the second time, Neil Patrick Harris hosted the Emmy Awards.
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards had previously been presented on September 15, 2013. They honor television professionals in technical categories such as production design , costumes , camera or editing .

The series Breaking Bad radio station AMC won best drama series in the main category, while Modern Family of ABC in a row received the award for best comedy series for the fourth time. Well received Julia Louis-Dreyfus its fourth award as best actress (this is a Best Supporting Actress) and Jim Parsons his third Best Actor.
With Netflix , a streaming provider managed to win a Primetime Emmy Award for the first time . Netflix series nominated a total of 14 categories; Netflix won the award in three categories. As in the previous year, HBO remained the broadcaster with the most nominations with 37, followed by NBC with 22 and Showtime with 17 nominations. With three awards, Liberace - Too Much of a Good Is Wonderful, won most Emmys this year.
