Toby Jones
Tobias Edward Heslewood "Toby" Jones (born September 7, 1966 in Oxford , England ) is a British actor .
Life and accomplishments
Toby Jones is the son of actor Freddie Jones . He played in several theater productions at the Abingdon School . He had his first film role in 1992 on the side of Tilda Swinton in the drama Orlando to Virginia Woolf . Jones starred in When Dreams Learn to Fly in 2004, with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet . In 2006, he played the title role in the biopic Kaltes Blut - In the footsteps of Truman Capote .
Jones appeared in 2001 at London's Wyndham's Theater in the comedy The Play What I Wrote , for which he was awarded a Laurence Olivier Award in 2002. In 2003 he starred in this play on Broadway . In 2005 he appeared in a radio play version of the novel Oblomow by Ivan Goncharov , which was produced by BBC Radio 4 . In the Harry Potter films he was the voice of Dobby the house elf. He embodies Claudius Templesmith in The Hunger Games - The Hunger Games and the sequel The Hunger Games - Catching Fire . In the 2013 documentary drama The Girl , Jones starred in the role of film director Alfred Hitchcock .
In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
Jones' standard German speaker has been Lutz Schnell since 2008 , with Hans Hohlbein and Stefan Krause speaking as substitutes . Jones has two daughters.
