action
Christopher Robin is sent to boarding school, which is why his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood - Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Kangaroo, Roo, Owl and Rabbit - throw a farewell party. Christopher consoles Pooh goodbye and promises him that he will never forget him.
Eventually, Christopher went to boarding school, but grew up quickly through the experiences there and the early death of his father. He meets and marries the architect Evelyn, with whom he has a daughter named Madeline, and serves in the British Army during World War II. After the war, he worked as an efficiency expert at Winslow Luggages. Because of his demanding job and his plans to also send Madeline to boarding school, he neglects his family. Giles Winslow Jr. urges Christopher to cut spending by 20%, largely through choosing which employees to lay off and presenting his plan on Monday. As a result, Christopher reluctantly fails to visit the Sussex country house with his family for a summer weekend to spend quality time with them.
At the same time, Pooh wakes up from a sleep and cannot find all of his friends, so he travels through Christopher's door in the Hundred Acre Wood and finds himself in London. In London he meets Christopher again on a park bench. He is shocked to see Pooh. Christopher decides to bring Pooh back into the woods through a door near his Sussex house after Pooh collapsed all of the shelves in his apartment.
After passing Christopher's family who are spending the weekend alone in the country house in Sussex, the two enter the Hundred Acre Wood. Christopher becomes angry about Pooh's absent-mindedness and fear of heffalumps and crowds. Finally he explains to Pooh that he is no longer a child before the two lose each other in the fog. Christopher discovers Eeyore and Piglet, who lead him to see Pooh's other friends who are hiding in a tree trunk for fear of a Heffalump. Failing to convince his friends that he really is Christopher Robin, he pretends to defeat a Heffalump to prove it. After all, they believe he is Christopher Robin and greet him with joy. When they reunite with Pooh at their meeting point, Christopher apologizes for being upset earlier. Christopher tells Pooh how lost he feels, but Pooh reminds him that they have found each other and comforts him with a hug. The next morning, Christopher rushes out of the Hundred Acre Wood to give his presentation in London. He meets his family and disappears because he doesn't know how to tell them about the Hundred Acre Forest.
Pooh notices that Tigger removed Christopher's presentation documents while drying his briefcase, so Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore decide to travel to London to bring them back to him. They meet Madeline, who recognizes Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore from her father's drawings. She joins them to dissuade her father from boarding school. When Evelyn later discovers a letter that Madeline left her, she also travels back to London.
Christopher is shocked to discover that his briefcase is filled with Tigger's belongings. Eventually Evelyn arrives and Christopher joins her to look for Madeline in London. Madeline's group is hiding in Winslow company boxes on a truck driving to the Winslow company headquarters, but Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are accidentally thrown off the truck with their box. You meet Christopher and Evelyn. Madeline and Pooh arrive near the Winslow building and join Christopher's group. Christopher's papers, however, are lost when Madeline accidentally stumbles on the stairs and the papers are blown through London in the wind. Madeline and Pooh are terribly upset. Christopher assures his daughter that she is important to him and that he will not send her to boarding school.
Back at Winslow, he improvises a plan that involves lowering baggage prices, giving employees paid vacations, and selling their bags to everyday people to increase demand. Winslow Jr. rejects the idea, but his father warms up and agrees to the plan. Christopher further insists that Winslow Jr. did nothing to the plan as he played golf all weekend, so it is humiliated.
Christopher Robin's family eventually visits the Hundred Acre Forest together so that Christopher can introduce them to the rest of his friends.
