Katy Carmichael
Katy Jane Carmichael (* 1971 in Liverpool , England ) is a British actress who is best known for her roles in various English television series.
Katy Carmichael was born in Liverpool in 1971, where she attended Gateacre Comprehensive School and Liverpool Boys College, which also accepted girls in the sixth grade. She then studied at Bristol University and graduated with a degree in Drama: Film and Television.
In 1991, Carmichael made her first television appearance in an episode of the comedy series Bread . From 1999 to 2001 she played the role of Twist in Spaced with Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes , with whom she worked together in 1995 in the short-lived sketch comedy Six Pairs of Pants . From 2002 to 2003 she starred in five episodes of the longest British soap Coronation Street . Since the beginning of 2009 she can be seen in the fourth season of the drama series Waterloo Road on BBC One .
In addition to her work in cinema and television, Carmichael also plays roles in the theater. She is married to the actor Tristan Sturrock , with whom she has two children.
