Cassie is an outsider in an expensive private school. She is suddenly confronted with new magical powers. She also has strange dreams about a family that is being attacked and a strange man. The man turns out to be the fallen angel Azazeal and he has plans for Cassie and her family. Your best friend, on the other hand, becomes a ghost and comes out as a lesbian. In addition, Cassie has to cope with life in school.

In the UK and Ireland, Hex was shown on Sky One television from 2005 to 2006. A broadcast in the USA followed in 2006 on BBC America . Some of the main characters left the series. So Joseph Morgan got out at the end of season one. The leading actress Christina Cole was only seen in her role as Cassie Hughes until season two, episode three. Laura Pyper then took on the lead role as Ella Dee. The series started with very good ratings. Around a million viewers saw the start of the series. However, the audience numbers continued to decline. Therefore, the series was canceled after the second season. The last episodes saw 200,000 viewers.
