Amber Sainsbury (born August 28, 1978 in New Zealand ) is a New Zealand actress .

Life

Amber Sainsbury began acting when she was a child. She appeared repeatedly in plays. She had her first television job when she was 15. After graduating from high school, she went to London to complete her acting training. From 2004 to 2005 Amber Sainsbury was seen as Roxanne Davenport in the British television series Hex . Amber Sainsbury traveled to South Africa in 2004 to shoot the film The Poseidon Attack and spent six months in Cape Town . She then stayed in Johannesburg for some time . In 2007 she played Kathy in The Ferryman . That same year she appeared as Denise in 30 Days of Night . She was dating her co-star Josh Hartnett for a while afterwards . She also founded the Dramatic Need charity in 2007 . This takes care of children in Rwanda and South Africa. In 2008 she made a guest appearance as Haylee on the television series Fairy Tales .
