Joseph Morgan
Joseph Morgan (* 16th May 1981 in London , England as Joseph Martin ) is a British film and television actor .
Life
Joseph Morgan was born in London but lived in Swansea , Wales for eleven years . After graduating from Morriston Comprehensive School, he moved to London where he attended the Central School of Speech and Drama to learn acting.
His acting career in front of the camera began in 2003 when he starred in two television productions. In the same year he got a role in the Oscar-winning film Master & Commander - To the End of the World . For the film adaptation of the life of Alexander the Great , Morgan slipped into the role of Philotas . In the following years he was mainly seen in television series, such as from 2008 to 2009 in Casualty . In 2010 he played the title role in the remake of the monumental film Ben Hur . From 2011 to 2013 he was seen in the role of Niklaus "Klaus" Mikaelson in the television series The Vampire Diaries . He played the same role from 2013 to 2018 in the spin-off The Originals . In April 2012, he got a starring role alongside Sharlto Copley and Erin Richards in 2013 appearing Gonzalo López-Gallego oncoming horror film Open Grave .
Morgan has been married to fellow actress Persia White since July 5, 2014 . The couple met on the set of the Vampire Diaries . He lives in either Atlanta , Georgia or Los Angeles , California .
