Persia White

Persia White (born October 25, 1972 in Miami , Florida ) is an American actress and musician .

Life and accomplishments

White grew up temporarily in Nassau . She performed at the Coconut Grove Childrens' Theater in Miami when she was eight . She played her first film role alongside Nick Nolte in the 1994 sports drama Blue Chips , but was not mentioned in the credits. She starred alongside Kirstie Alley in the television drama Ask Not About Tomorrow (1996) . In the film drama Späte Abrechnung (2000) she played alongside Peter Coyote and Nastassja Kinski . She has also appeared on numerous television series, including two episodes of the 1997 television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer .

White has played the role of Lynn Anne Searcy in the television series Girlfriends since 2000 , who has been friends with Joan Carol Clayton ( Tracee Ellis Ross ) Maya Denise Wilkes ( Golden Brooks ) and Antoinette Marie Childs ( Jill Marie Jones ) since her time at university is. In one of the episodes, she appeared together with her own daughter.

White is a member of the music group XEO3 , she also composed music for several independent films and wrote a song for the series Girlfriends . She co-produced the documentary Earthlings . In 2005 she was awarded the Humanitarian of the Year award by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals for her commitment to animal welfare .

White has been married to actor Joseph Morgan since 2014 .
