Jemima Rooper (born October 24, 1981 in Hammersmith , London ) is a British actress .

Jemima Rooper is the daughter of Alison Rooper , a TV journalist. She went to Redcliffe Primary School in Chelsea and, when she was twelve, to Godolphin and Latymer School. While she was working on the TV series The Five Friends , she passed the British secondary school leaving certificate (GCE - General Certificate of Secondary Education ) with eight grades A * and A (grade: 1). From there she went to sixth form college , where she passed three subjects with an A and thus the highest British school leaving certificate ( Advanced Level ).

Jemima Rooper now lives in north London.

Jemima Rooper expressed her desire to become an actress at the age of eight and contacted an agent for the purpose. Her first professional roles were in 1993 in The Higher Mortals and in 1994 in Willie's War . In 1996 she played the girl George in all episodes of the TV series Five Friends , the remake of Enid Blyton's Five Friends .
