Anna Wilson-Jones

Anna Wilson-Jones (born 1970 in Woking , Surrey ) is a British actress. She gained international fame through her role as Juliet Miller in Hotel Babylon and through her lead role Sarah in Spaced .

Career

Wilson-Jones played Sandra Harrison in Inspector Morse's final episode , The Remorseful Day , in 2000 . In 2004 and 2005 she played the role of Jo Watkins in the Sky One-produced series Hex . The following year she played Anna in the Channel 4 adaptation of the novel Sugar Rush . She played other roles in As If , Monarch of the Glen , Wonderful You , Waterloo Road and Rosemary & Thyme, among others . In 2003 she had an appearance in the episode The language from the series Ashes to Ashes .

Wilson-Jones also appeared in Inspector Barnaby (2013), the ITV parapsychology drama afterlife , in which she played Jude Bridge , ex-wife of Robert Bridge (played by Andrew Lincoln ). Since June 2007 she has appeared as Sally in the ITV drama serial The Time of Your Life .

In 2009 she played hotel manager Juliet Miller in the television series Hotel Babylon .

In late 2011 she appeared in "The National Anthem", the first episode of the Black Mirror anthology series . She also starred in The Night Watch , based on Sarah Waters ' 2012 novel on the BBC. She plays the character of the lesbian writer Julia Standing , who lived in London during the Second World War. In the second season of Misfits, she played Laura . Also in 2011 she played Rosalind Rydell in two episodes of the first season of Inspector Banks , "Cold is the Grave: Part 1" and "Cold is the Grave: Part 2".

In 2016, Wilson-Jones joined the cast of the ITV drama "Victoria" and played the role of Emma Portman, Viscountess Portman , one of Queen Victoria's ladies-in-waiting who began with a total of eleven appearances in two seasons. She also served as the narrator for the novel Victoria, written by the television series creator, Daisy Goodwin.

On January 9, 2017, Jones appeared as Ellie Timpson in "Silent Witness" in the episode "Discovery". On February 10, 2018, Jones appeared as Linda Ashworth in Casualty.

In the second season of PhoneShop on Channel 4 , she played Davinia .

Life

She is married to actor Steve John Shepherd. Together they have two daughters (born around 2005 and around 2007) and a son (born around 2012).
