Laura Pyper

Laura Pyper (* 1980 in Magherafelt , Northern Ireland ) is a British actress .

Life

Laura Pyper grew up in her hometown. She has two brothers and two sisters. Pyper attended Rainey Endowed School in Magherafelt. When she appeared in a school play there, she became interested in acting. After graduating from high school, she studied English and Drama at Trinity College Dublin . While still a student, she got her first role offer as Lin in the film The Rule of Fire . Several appearances in films and television productions followed. In the British television series Hex , she took on the lead role of the witch Ella Dee in the second season. She replaced Christina Cole , who played the lead role in the first season. In 2009, Pyper starred as Jane Fairfax in the television series Emma . She also made appearances on the television series Demons , The IT Crowd , Silent Witness , and Spooks - In the sights of MI5 . She was last seen in 2013 as Jane in the television series Luther .

In addition to films and TV series, Laura Pyper can also be seen in the theater. In 2009 she played the lead role of Cressida in Troilus and Cressida on Shakespeare's Globe. In 2010 she starred as Lilly Cahill in Punk Rock at the Lyric Hammersmith Theater. From February 6, 2014 to March 1, 2014, she played Bella in Gaslight at the Salisbury Playhouse.
