British Independent Film Awards 2012
The 15th presentation of the British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) took place on December 9, 2012 at the Old Billingsgate in London and, as in previous years , was hosted by James Nesbitt .
The 15th award ceremony was celebrated with an extended evening program. a. the DJ Rob da Bank and The Incredibly Strange Film Band performed.
The youth film Broken by Rufus Norris could only win the prizes for the best film and the best supporting actor ( Rory Kinnear ) despite nine nominations . After seven nominations, the feature film Berberian Sound Studio by Peter Strickland won the awards for best actor ( Toby Jones ), best director, best production and best technology (sound design).
