Joakim Sundström

Joakim Sundström (born February 27, 1965 in Gävle , Sweden ) is a Swedish sound engineer for films. Before he came to film in 1998, Sundström worked as a sound engineer ( recording artist ). Sundström works regularly with Michael Winterbottom and Kevin Macdonald . In 2005 he worked with Fernando Meirelles on The Eternal Gardener . His film 45 Years was shown in the competition at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2015 .

Sundström was awarded for his work nominations for the Golden Reel Award of Motion Picture Sound Editors , the British Independent Film Award  (BIFA) and the Golden Satellite Award . In 2012 Sundström won a BIFA for Berberian Sound Studio and in 2014 a European Film Award for Walls of Violence .
