British Independent Film Awards 2017

The 20th British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) ceremony took place on December 10, 2017. The nominations were announced on November 1, 2017.

Lady Macbeth of William Oldroyd went with ten nominations in the race, with Florence Pugh best actress, Naomi Ackie as best young actress and Alice Birch were honored for best screenplay. God's Own Country by Francis Lee has been nominated nine times and won the award for best film. In addition, were Josh O'Connor honored as best actor and Francis Lee for his debut screenplay.
