The 10th British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) ceremony took place on November 20, 2007 in London. The most successful film of the year was Control by director Anton Corbijn, with four awards (Best Film, Best Director, Best Newscomer, Douglas Hickox Award) and three other nominations.

The German production The Lives of Others by director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck was awarded as the best foreign independent film.

The event was hosted by actor James Nesbitt, who himself received an award in 2002 for his portrayal of Northern Irish politician Ivan Cooper in Paul Greengrass's drama Bloody Sunday .
