Benjamin William "Ben" White (born November 8, 1997 in Poole ) is an English football player who is under contract with the first division club Brighton & Hove Albion .

Club career

White began at Southampton FC to the football games and moved at the age of 16 years in the youth academy of Brighton & Hove Albion . He made his professional debut on August 9, 2016 in a 4-0 home win in the League Cup against Colchester United . In this 2016/17 season he was used in another cup game and was also used in 14 games of the reserve team in the Premier League 2.

On August 1, 2017, Ben White moved to fourth division Newport County in a one-year loan deal . He made his debut on August 12 (2nd matchday) in a 1-1 draw against Crewe Alexandra . He scored his first professional goal on November 21 in a 2-1 home defeat against FC Barnet . In the 2017/18 season he was used in 42 league games, in which he was on the pitch from the start in every single one.

In April 2018, Ben White signed a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion. After his return, he did not make the breakthrough with the Seagulls the following season , as he could not get past the experienced center- backs Lewis Dunk , Shane Duffy and Leon Balogun . Until January 2019, he only played one role in the FA Cup and otherwise only played in the U-23 team. On January 3, 2019, he moved to third division Peterborough United on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season . There he was a regular regular player and was used in 15 league games.

On July 1, 2019, Ben White signed a contract extension with Brighton and was loaned to second division Leeds United on the same day . He made his debut in the EFL Championship on August 4 (1st matchday) in a 3-1 home win at the start of the season against Bristol City . After proving himself through impressive achievements in August, he was named PFA Player of the Month on September 4, 2019 . On July 22, 2020 (46th matchday), he scored his only goal of the season in a 4-0 home win against Charlton Athletic . He played all 46 Whites league games this 2019/20 season and was promoted to the Premier League as a champion with the club .
