Sam Rockwell (born November 5, 1968 in Daly City , California ) is an American actor . For his role as Officer Jason Dixon in the film drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri , Rockwell received an Oscar , Golden Globe Award , Critics' Choice Movie Award , BAFTA Award and Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2018 .
