Celebrity - beautiful. Rich. Famous. (Eng. "Fame") is a film by Woody Allen from 1998. The film thematizes the phenomenon, especially in the USA, that almost every person can achieve stardom. Whether lawyer, doctor, real estate shark or bystanders who are briefly taken hostage, everyone can be stylized into a celebrity.

Lee Simon is a writer who, after two unsuccessful novels, earns his living with travelogues and especially with stories about celebrities. After divorcing his wife, whom he married at an early age, he is constantly on the lookout for success, sex and the woman for life. He tries to get hold of the film diva Nicole and a celebrated supermodel or to make his script appealing to the young, self-centered actor Brandon. When he confesses to his current girlfriend Bonnie when she moves into his apartment that he actually loves the actress Nola, she destroys his third, almost completed novel, which should finally bring him his breakthrough. Since Nola also leaves him, Lee Simon ends up with empty hands.
At the same time, the story of his ex-wife Robin Simon is told. She met producer Tony Gardella, with whom she developed a new television format in which she briefly interviewed celebrities over lunch in a restaurant. At the end of the film she married Tony and is a celebrity herself, which she never really wanted to be.
