The Wyndham's Theater is one of two theaters, which for the actor-manager Charles Wyndham was built (the second is the New Theater ). Located in London's West End , on Charing Cross Road, it was designed by architect WGR Sprague. It offers space for 759 spectators in three tiers (with an additional 41 standing room). It was opened on November 16, 1899 in the presence of the Prince of Wales with TW Robertson's play David Garrick . The theater was built back to back with the Albery Theater and is connected to it by a bridge. The construction was funded by a benefactor and loans from Wyndham's friends.

Today the theater is operated by the Ambassador Theater Group and is largely used for theatrical and musical theater performances. Several world premieres of well-known pieces took place here, such as Peter Ustinov's The Love of Four Colonels on May 23, 1951 , Sandy Wilson's The Boy Friend , 1954 , which was performed a total of 2078 times, Simon Gray's Wise Child on October 10, 1967 , Arthur Miller's The Ride Down Mount Morgan on October 23, 1991 , and finally Yasmina Reza's Comedy Art , 1996 , which has been screened over 1,500 times.
