Kenneth Cranham

Kenneth Cranham (born December 12, 1944 in Dunfermline , Fife , Scotland ) is a British film and stage actor .

Life

The son of Ronald Cranham and Margaret McKay has been an actor on stage and in front of the camera since the mid-1960s. He received his first well-known film role in the 1968 literary film adaptation Oliver by director Carol Reed . Four years later, in 1972, he stood in the history of film Brother Sun, Sister Moon by Franco Zeffirelli on camera - another film that was known to the Cranham also in Germany.

Today Cranham is one of the most sought-after actors when it comes to casting mostly strong supporting roles. In 2005 he appeared in eight episodes of the television series Rome as the Roman Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus , in the same year as Sir Nigel in A Good Year , in 2007 in Hot Fuzz and as Captain Turner in The Downfall of Lusitania - Tragedy One Luxusliners and 2008 in Operation Walküre - The Stauffenberg Assassination as German Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel .

Kenneth Cranham is married to actress Fiona Victory for the second time . His only child, a daughter, comes from a relationship with actress Charlotte Cornwell .

He lives in London today .
