The Chilchzimmersattel is a Swiss pass in the Folded Jura in the south of the canton of Basel-Landschaft . It is located at 991 m above sea level. M. between the communities of Eptingen and Langenbruck .
The pass road between these two places is a 9.7 km long country road with gradients of up to 15%. The western driveway from Langenbruck overcomes a height difference of 288 m with almost no bends, the eastern driveway from Eptingen has a height difference of 498 m and 9 bends.
The saddle was secured by the Unter Hauenstein barrier from the Second World War ; In the vicinity there are remains of fortifications of the Hauenstein fortification , which were built during the First World War . During this time the pass road was laid out by the Swiss Army. The Belchenflue is located near the Chilchzimmersattel , which is why the pass is also popularly known as "Belchen" or "Bölchen".
