The Hahnenmoospass is located in the western Bernese Alps between Lavey and Rägeboldshore , connects Adelboden and Lenk in the Simmental and, with a pass height of 1956 m above sea level. M. is the hub of the Adelboden-Lenk ski area.
An asphalt road leads from Geilsbüel to the pass. However, the road can only be used with a special permit. A road also leads from Lenk to the pass, but in the last few kilometers it turns into a natural piste on which there is a general driving ban. The pass is usually reached on foot or by mountain railway: From the Adelboden side, the Hahnenmoospass can be reached from Geilsbüel by gondola . A gondola lift leads from the Metsch on the Lenk side , which is operated continuously in winter but only partially in summer. From the Hahnenmoospass you have a view of the Wildstrubel massif , which is located within a few kilometers to the south. The Lenk- Betelberg ski area is on the other side of the Hahnenmoospass . In the summer there are often model glider weeks.
